Maxine Bigby Cunningham celebrates her healing from the malady of “Falling” by sharing her story - guiding and inspiring others who seek to overcome impediments to wellness. Her writings reflect a passion for inner healing and holistic wellness. Maxine has appeared in publications of local churches, NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Metropolitan Baltimore, and the Maryland State Poetry and Literary Society. She has appeared in educational videos produced by NAMI and by the Center for the Integration of Spirituality and Mental Health. Cunningham has over 36 years experience as a Senior Executive with the federal government and manager in grassroots organizations. She earned degrees from Goucher College and the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs/Syracuse University. Her contributions in Christian education, community engagement, and mental health advocacy have been recognized by the Maryland Baptist Congress of Christian Education, NAMI, Goucher College and others. She is a 2010 candidate for a diploma in Christian Ministries from the Baltimore School of the Bible.
